A 10 1/4 inch gauge 2-6-2, reportedly based on its builder's idea of an LNER V2 - probably should have gone to Specsavers...
Built a long time ago, the engine has been unused for many years. It's largely complete, although missing some boiler fittings - there appears never to have been a tender. The welded steel boiler has been hydraulic tested at 200psi for 100psi working and a new certificate issued, the piston-valve chassis pushes along freely.
Whilst the engine could be restored in its original form, with a tall chimney, dome and side tanks it would have the makings of a large tank engine - indeed, given that the firebox lies over the frames at the back rather than between them, it would not be impossible to regauge down to 7 1/4 inch.
