A set of four 10 1/4 inch gauge carriages on articulated bogies - there are five bogies for the four bodies, one at each end and three in the middle. This design gives a very low centre of gravity - the passenger footwells are virtually at rail height, with the end passenger's backsides over the bogies.
These may have been a commercially-produced set - the bodies are fibreglass on a steel chassis, each a two-man lift, with fibreglass seats and footwells. The bogies are very substantial, weighing around 140 pounds each, two fitted with brake cylinders. Wheels run in sealed takeup bearings.
There is potential to regauge these to 7 1/4 inch, they would be the right sort of size to haul behind a large, narrow-gauge engine. Condition is largely sound, they could use some refurbishment and a repaint.
