1/10 scale British Mk4 "Female" tank - stock code 11782

Something rather different from our normal stock in trade - a finely built WW1 British Mk4 tank, the work of a highly capable model engineer whose work has featured several times in these pages, including the Pride of Penrhyn steam wagon, Shand Mason steam pump and very fine Westbury "Centaur" open crank engine.

The tank was scratch built to his own design, in metal throughout (and with a weight to match).

Radio-controlled, the tank is in running order, complete with batteries - we've all had a drive around the car park with it, however it would be fair to say that it has some teething problems that, at times, leaves it pirouetting rather than advancing relentlessly upon the enemy lines. A bug we're sure that somebody with rather more skills in the electrical and radio control area than us would have no difficulty tracking down and fixing, most of the time it does do exactly as it's told!
