A 2 1/2 inch gauge coal-fired Atlantic, a well-proportioned, nicely made older engine based on Aspinall's design for the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway.
Coal-fired superheated copper boiler, feed by axle pump with auxiliary hand pump in the tender. Gunmetal cylinders with slide valves actuated by Joy gear with pole reverser in the cab. Mechanical lubricator.
The motionwork and valve gear is all in good condition, I suspect the engine has spent much of its life on a bookshelf (which is exactly where it is now, not far from where I'm writing this). The engine pushed along freely, lubricator lid is missing, otherwise it's complete.
If you need something a little bigger, we've got one of these in 7 1/4inch gauge as well...
