Photographs opposite were taken in recent days, the words below are from the last time it was with us.
A 2 1/2 inch gauge LNER V2, an older engine which came to us as part of a large collection of fine locomotives and traction engines last year. Kept on display in the previous owner's house, it doesn't appear to have been steamed since last repainted.
The boiler has had a twice working pressure hydraulic test with no sign of leak or deflection. Beautifully made, we suspect it was professionally built, although can find no maker's mark on it. The chassis rolls freely and will make half a turn running on air before stopping - it requires the valves and/or returns cranks resetting. Complete with a pair of carrying boxes for locomotive and tender.
