One of a pair of 2 inch scale Aveling & Porter type AD compound steam rollers built by Keith Massey - regular readers will know that we rather venerate his work here, for those who haven't come across this most talented and prolific of engineers before, there's a page about the man and his models here.
Beautifully built, highly detailed and - like all of his models - runs like a sewing machine. It's been steamed in the past, but not in recent memory (and certainly not in the last owner's possession), we ran it on air in the workshop following hydraulic test - boiler is in good order.
I won't write reams of stuff about this one, the pictures pretty much tell the story. Currently on display in Ashley's office, apparently we can sell it providing something else as nice replaces it.
