A part-built 2 inch scale Burrell DCC Showmans Road Locomotive, modelled with particular reference to and details taken from the full-sized preserved engine "Dolphin".

The model has come to us from the son of the late builder, both men toolmakers by trade and modellers of repute. The Burrell was last worked on many years ago before other projects intervened - the builder's last locomotive, an exceptionally fine "Britannia", is currently nearing completion.

Work to date is to a high standard, the builder's capability evident in such things as the beautifully made one piece crankshaft turned from the solid.
