An excellent example of MJ Engineering's 2 inch scale Burrell Gold Medal Tractor, the work of a highly experienced model engineer.
Professionally-built silver-soldered copper boiler by MJ Engineering, feed by mechanical pump with bypass and injector. Water carried in tender and belly tanks, with water lifter mounted on offside tank. Twin cylinder compound with slide valves actuated by Stephenson's valve gear with pole reverser on footplate. Pickering governor. Mechanical lubricator. Two road gears with differential, winch mounted behind nearside rear wheel with fairleads on tender.
The engine is new and unsteamed, the painting and hand-lining are to a high standard throughout. Fit and finish of all parts is excellent, there is a wealth of additional detailing from the coal hammer in the toolbox and working headlamps to the minute tax disc on the motion cover.
Some of the builder's photographs and other examples of his work are here.
