A well made 2 inch scale Durham & North Yorkshire traction engine, built to the popular John Haining design, with commercially made copper boiler by Cheddar Models.
We've replaced the old safety valves which accumulated on steam test (seemingly endemic in miniature traction engines, there are few come through the workshop that don't need rework or replacement), the Salter balances are for show rather than function - not uncommon in engines of this scale.
Paintwork was not terribly well done in the first place and is
getting worn, however underneath the engine is in good condition and
runs well.
Complete with driving truck.
