A large quantity of material including a pair of copper boilers and about a hundredweight of largely gunmetal castings for what we believe were to be a pair of Fowler DCC road engines. They came from the estate of a well-known model engineer who had built batches of other models in his time, most notably four 5 inch gauge Duchesses (I had one of them in some years ago, pictures in the archive here). The Fowler parts came along with a Britannia boiler he'd made and the 5 inch gauge P2 chassis listed a few months back.

There's some mystery over exactly what design and scale these are being built to - best I can do is list the key dimensions and let you judge for yourself.

Boilers
Barrel diameter 6 1/4 inches
Overall length 22 inches
Width across firebox 6 1/2 inches
Fitted with 22 number 1/2 inch tubes

Cylinder blocks overall length 3 inch (along bore, excluding mounting flange)
Bore size as cast 1 1/2 inch diameter

Complete with a pair of full-sized Fowler "Owls", I imagine cast at the same time as the miniature replicas.
