A large quantity of parts and castings for a 2 inch scale Fowler Z7 ploughing engine to John Haining's "Superba" design. There is a well made steel boiler complete with hornplates and smokebox assembly, welded construction with expanded tubes, hydraulic test at 200psi for 100psi working pressure.
As well as a large quantity of unmachined castings, there are three part-machined cylinder blocks, machined gears, wheel rims with T-rings, smokebox tubes, part-machined crankshafts, spokes and strakes - I suspect the project was started with the intention of building a pair of engines.
Ploughing engines are rare in any scale, the compounds probably rarest of all. I've had a couple of BB1s in over the years, but only one Z7, a huge engine which we sold back in 2004 - there are pictures in the archive if you want to see what it will look like when finished.
