A particularly well made LNER V4 to LBSC's "Bantam Cock" design, built as one of a pair by a highly experienced model maker in the 1970s - this engine has spent much of its life on display, evidenced by its mechanical condition.
Silver soldered copper boiler, 80psi working pressure, feed by injector and axle pump with auxiliary hand pump in the tender. Gunmetal cylinders with slide valves actuated by Walschaert's gear with screw reverser in the cab, mechanical lubricator.
The engine has been nicely put together and well detailed - we had it in steam earlier in the week, it goes very well.
Complete with a set of firing irons.
