A finely made 3 1/2 inch gauge BR 9F "Evening Star", built to the LBSC/Evans design. Fit and finish is excellent, paintwork is very good, although the green not a shade that Swindon ever stocked. In new condition throughout, it has apparently been test steamed on meths - there's a small spirit burner installed - although never seen coal. Condition of firebox and smokebox bear this out, they look new. The engine has been fitted with a radio-controlled regulator and reverser, which would be easy to remove - I suspect the intention was to use it as a locomotive for scenic running.
Silver soldered superheated copper boiler, feed by axle pump and injector with auxiliary hand pump in the tender. Gunmetal cylinders with piston valves actuated by Walschaerts gear with screw reverser in the cab. Mechanical lubricator.
Complete with a length of display track.
