A 3 1/2 inch Hunslet to Martin Evans' "Conway" design - larger than the diminutive "Alice" class quarry engines, it's more like the "Port" class locomotives and makes for a decent-sized engine in this gauge.
Silver soldered copper boiler, working pressure 80psi, feed by injector and axle pump with auxiliary hand pump on the fooplate. Stephenson's valve gear with pole reverser in cab, mechanical "ratchless" lubricator on nearside running board.
