Unused in many years, the engine pushes along fairly freely although with some tight spots - there's precious little oil left anywhere on the motionwork or valve gear, we suspect it's a similar story inside the cylinders.
Regulator is currently seized and the top water gauge fitting leaks slightly. Boiler looks ok on hydraulic test at twice working pressure and we would warranty as sound, however, in the absence of previous documentation, it would need lifting from the frames for a cladding off inspection before new certification could be issued.
A well made example of an attractive design - well worth the effort of recommissioning to steam.
