An 0-6-2 tank engine of, I think, freelance design. There is little sign of wear to the motionwork or wheels - it appears to have had little use.
Silver soldered copper superheated boiler, feed by crosshead pump with auxiliary hand pump in bunker. Gunmetal cylinders with inside slide valve actuated by Stephenson's valve gear with pole reverser in cab.
Workmanship is to a good standard throughout, there are lots of nice little touches from the lamps on the running board to the elegantly executed side control on the rear pony truck. It runs very well.
