We've issued a new hydraulic test on the boiler - pictures opposite were taken this week, words below were written in 2019.
A particularly well made 3 1/2 inch gauge Great Northern Railway Atlantic, built to LBSC's popular "Maisie" design.
Standard of machining is to a high standard throughout, fit and finish of the motionwork and valve gear is very good. From the condition of boiler, valve gear and tyres, the engine appears to have had light use, showing little sign of wear.
Boiler is LBSC's combustion chamber design, fitted with three element superheater. It has had a twice working pressure hydraulic test, with new certificate issued for same. The engine runs well on air, notching up in both directions.
Paintwork, originally done to a good standard, has faded on the barrel - we suspect through having been displayed on a window sill for many years.
