An unusual tank engine, based on LBSC's "Juliet" design, but with an additional rear truck to make it into an 0-4-4T - the builder lived on the Isle of Wight, and this was his nod towards the 0-4-4s that ran around the island. I can't get it out of my head it looks more like a single Fairlie, but that's artistic interpretation for you.
The engine hasn't been used in many years, it's pretty scruffy and really needs a good pre-season service. On the plus side, the boiler has had a twice pressure hydraulic test this afternoon at 160psi for 80psi working and the chassis is in running, if grubby, condition.
