A well-made 3 ½ inch gauge “Tich”, this one a
large-boilered, Walschaert’s gear version. Built by the same man responsible
for the Chub currently in stock, it has spent much of its life on display,
showing little evidence of use.
Silver soldered copper boiler, 80psi working pressure, feed
by axle and hand pumps. Gunmetal cylinders with slide valves actuated by
Walschaert’s gear, pole reverser in cab. Mechanical lubricator.
The boiler has
had a hydraulic test and is sound, the engine has been run on air and goes well.
