A 3 1/2 inch gauge LMS "Jinty" 0-6-0T, originally rather a well made engine turned out in lined black livery. In recent times it's had what appears to be a cosmetic "restoration" which included painting the backhead and fittings silver (apparently with a tar brush).
The copper boiler appeared dry and free of distortion on hydraulic test, although the regulator and blower valve both leak copiously - we would warranty as sound once the leaky valves have been attended to.
Wheels currently make a part revolution before locking up.
A handsome design, it would be a worthwhile project to put back into running order.
