An early stage “Canterbury Lamb”, LBSC’s take on the early Canterbury & Whitstable locomotive built by Stephenson’s shortly after “Rocket”. Still preserved, it now lives in Canterbury museum although I remember it standing outside for many years with an iron fence round it – used to see it when visiting my parents when they lived near Dover.
Work to date is to a good standard and comprises rolling chassis, cylinders and valve chests are machined, there is a quantity of unmachined castings (probably sufficient to complete, given the simplicity of the engine) and a single general arrangement drawing - Reeves stock drawings and castings for the model..gauge | 3 1/2 inch |
