Kept for display by the previous owner, it appears unsteamed from new. The silver soldered copper boiler has had a recent twice working pressure hydraulic test with certification issued for same; fit and finish of motionwork and valve gear is very good.
We like the smokebox/saddle treatment, with elegantly curved extensions down to the running boards.
Only fly in the ointment is the nearside steam pipe connection to its valve chest - the flange stops a fraction short, leaving a gap which will need to be rectified before the engine can be run. Whilst the repair looks straightforward, access is restricted - unless you've got very small fingers, we suspect the easiest way may be to dismount the boiler.
Missing grate and ashpan, the locomotive comes complete with a purpose built carrying/storage box.
