An interesting project, with some good work done to date, to build Bulleid's rarely modelled "Q1" in 3 1/2 inch gauge. We've only ever had one complete running example, as years have passed I've overcome the horror I felt on first seeing the preserved one as a boy in the NRM, nowadays I think they have a certain pugnacious charm, a sort of Bob Hoskins of the utility locomotive market.
Work to date comprises a nicely made rolling chassis that pushes along freely, in addition there is a large quantity of castings including cylinders and tender wheels, a set of tender frames and a new silver soldered copper boiler by Western Steam which is a work of art in its own right.
Complete with a set of drawings and copies of the construction series.
