An early stage 3 1/2 inch gauge Southern S15 4-6-0 built to Martin Evans' "Greene King" design. It hasn't been stored in the best of conditions, although the fairly alarming looking rust is superficial and will clean up with Scotchbrite, elbox grease and a drop of paraffin. Work to date comprises a rolling chassis with front bogie, silver soldered copper boiler showing neatly flanged plates and decent solder penetration, part machined cylinders, tender rolling chassis, stainless steel grate, tender hand pump and a box of unmachined castings. Complete with bound volumes 143 & 144 of the "Model Engineer", containing the original construction series.
