A well-made 3 1/2 inch gauge Stanier 2-6-4T to Martin Evans' "Jubilee" design. Silver soldered copper boiler, 80psi working pressure, feed by twin axle pumps, with auxiliary hand pump. Gunmetal cylinders with slide valves actuated by Walschaert's gear with pole reverser in cab. Mechanical lubricator, steam brake.
The engine runs well on air, very quiet with well-defined exhaust beats. Boiler looks ok on hydraulic, apart from a copious leak which looks to be coming from the wet header joint - a repair job made considerably easier in this design, with its horizontally-split smokebox.
