A nicely made 3 1/2 inch gauge "Tich" to LBSC's original, classic small boiler design with Walschaert's valve gear - the definitive version to my eyes, I think it's a super looking engine in this gauge.
An older engine, machining is crisply done, there's lots of nice extra detailing including hinged doors in the rear bunker sheet for firing, flysheet bracing bars, brass boiler cleading around the spectacle plate and tunnel through the offside side tank for the reach rod.
We suspect the engine hasn't been run in many years - boiler has had a twice working pressure hydraulic test and is sound, the engine runs well on air forwards, less convincing in reverse.
Complete with a metal carrying case, although I suspect the engine will spend more time out on display than shut away. Currently scoping out a suitable bookshelf for it to live on at home...
