On completion of the overhaul it was club tested, although curiously for 70psi working - designed for 80psi working, "Tich" needs every psi it can get given the size of the cylinders! We've re-tested the boiler and certified for the higher pressure.
The engine steams well and runs in both directions. The overhaul didn't get as far as the moving parts apparently, the motionwork and valve gear having generous amounts of wear throughout.
Safety valve is once of the nicest we've seen, it opens and closes with satisfying precision (and very little loss of pressure).
Complete with spare grate, coupling bar, drawings and a copy of "Simple Locomotive Building - introducing LBSC's Tich".
