Recently arrived in part exchange for a fine 3 inch scale Allchin, this is a 3 inch scale Burrell to the well-known Plastow design. In running order, it has been steamed on a handful of occasions over the last fifteen years. The previous owner has recently completed work on the engine including making a new expansion link, slide valve and fitting "soft pop" type safety valves. There is some work remaining, including painting and refitting the gear guards.

Silver soldered copper boiler, feed by mechanical pump and injector. Slide valve actuated by Stephenson's gear, pole reverser on footplate. Two road speeds, the engine is fitted with a differential behind the nearside rear wheel.

We had this one in steam for the boiler inspector this afternoon, there's a short clip of it running in the yard here.
