I sold this one last year, it's recently come back in part exchange against a new Stafford. Pictures and words below were taken when it first arrived.
A finely made 3 inch scale Burrell traction engine – it
was built to commission and run occasionally when first delivered, then
professionally painted before display in a well-known museum in the South. It
remained there on display for many years - it has not been steamed since being
painted and remains in excellent order throughout.
Silver soldered copper boiler, working pressure 100psi,
feed by injector and mechanical pump. Cast iron cylinder with slide valve
actuated by Stephenson’s gear, pole reverser on footplate. Mechanical
lubricator. Two speed transmission with differential, rubber tyres bonded to
wheels, winch behind nearside rear wheel with fairleads on tender.
