The work of a retired engineer, the gentleman spent his working life restoring vintage cars whilst also finding time to build a 6 inch scale Burrell Devonshire, 4 inch scale Burrell agricultural and the Fowler.
Work is to a high standard throughout. Since completion in 2019 it has been test steamed and remains in excellent "ex works" condition, running beautifully with the quietest set of gears we've ever heard on a road engine - there's some video of it here.
The commercially built welded steel boiler was supplied by Franklin & Bell at the start of the project some twenty years ago, it's complete with manufacturer's documentation and subsequent commercial test history. The engine has had hydraulic and steam tests since arriving with us, with new certification issued.
Complete with construction manual.
