A large 3 inch scale double crank compound traction engine, an older engine which we believe to have been reboilered in recent years although have nothing by way of history or paperwork with it.
The boiler itself is built to a high standard, welded steel with expanded tubes. It proved water tight at twice working pressure on hydraulic test, we would warranty as sound for the working pressure stated.
The engine has recently come in as part exchange against a 4 inch scale engine from a man with a large and eclectic collection of steam road vehicles, a talented engineer himself from a family three generations in the hobby.
