We think that this is about two and a half Bassett Lowke traction engine kits - new old-stock, produced for Steam Age in the 1980s.

The design itself was considerably older, Bassett Lowke had been producing similar engines for many years - there are pictures of one built from a kit in the 1960s in the archive here.
 
These came from the estate of a man who worked for Steam Age in the 1980s - there is some surface rust acquired in storage over the last thirty years, however most of the parts are in good condition.

Complete with a set of assembly instructions.
