A 4 1/2 inch scale Foden steam wagon, a well-built engine in good condition.

Steel boiler by Franklin & Bell, 150psi working pressure, feed by injector and mechanical pump. Cast iron cylinders with slide valves actuated by Stephenson's gear, pole reverser. Crankshaft runs on roller main bearings. Three speed transmission with differential, chain drive to rear wheels.

The wagon has been in regular use over the last few years in the hands of a talented engineer - not only steam, he also restores classic cars to the highest standards. We had his steam car in a couple of years ago - another thoroughly well-sorted bit of kit.

Road-registered and complete with electric blower, shovel, spare grate and gauge glasses, spark arrester and detachable passenger seats for the rear. It goes particularly well, a rapid machine which, on its pneumatic tyres, is very comfortable on the road. There's some video of Jon hot-rodding about on it earlier in the week here.
