A 4 inch scale Burrell agricultural engine, recently come to us in part exchange for a steam car. It has been rallied regularly by its previous owner, an experienced steam man who fires on one of the preserved standard gauge railways. The engine has been maintained in good order, it goes well - there's a short clip of it ticking over in our yard here.
Welded steel boiler by Cope Engineering, expanded tubes, 120psi working pressure. Feed by mechanical pump and injector, twin Ramsbottom type safety valves. Cast iron cylinder with slide valve actuated by Stephenson's gear. Mechanical lubricator and Pickering type governor mounted on the block. Two speed, three shaft transmission with differential, winch behind nearside rear wheel with fairleads mounted on tender. Road wheels have rubber tyres fitted.
Complete with driver's seat and a capacious trailer. The engine is road registered with V5.
