Those who came to our last open day will remember this one running around - it's a free-steaming engine, easy to drive which made it the ideal "have a go on a four inch engine" machine on the day.
The engine had a new CE-marked boiler in 2013 by AJB Engineering which remains in excellent condition.
We've reworked the typically fussy Ramsbottom safety valves by machining out the casting and fitting the internals from a pair of our progressive pop type valves.
Undetectable to the casual observer, the Ramsbottom spring and load bar are left in position; however the conversion provides an easy to adjust pair of valves which open and close reliably with minimum loss of pressure.
Pictures opposite were taken last week, there's some video of Will running around on it at the 2016 Open Day here.
