We sold this one at the beginning of last year to a long-time customer - it's recently come back to us in much the same condition now as when he took delivery. Picture opposite and words below are from the last time it was here.

A 5 inch gauge BR Class 20 battery-electric, arrived with us recently from a collection of 5 inch gauge models including an excellent LNER V1.

Fitted with a DLF2 Loco Control motor control unit, with four Speed 900 12v motors powered by a trio of 34Ah batteries. The locomotive has a functional pair of front running lights and a two-tone horn, with rear running lights and a cooling fan in place but not yet wired in.

The locomotive runs in forwards and backwards quite happily from the hand controller, the unusual three battery configuration putting any concerns over adhesive weight to rest.
