An older "Ajax" 0-4-0T, from the same railway as the Simplex we've recently had in. The engine runs on air, boiler has had a twice working pressure hydraulic test and is sound. Paintwork is tired, motionwork and valve gear grubby with some wear.
Silver soldered copper boiler, 90psi working pressure, feed by twin axle pumps with auxiliary hand pump. Cast iron cylinders with slide valves actuated by Walschaerts gear, pole reverser. Mechanical lubricator.
