A well-built 5 inch gauge Bagnall, built to the "Anne of Holland" design - it's not a type we see very often more's the pity, they make up into a robustly proportioned, powerful engine pretty much ideally suited to club running.
This one was built by an accomplished engineer, the man reponsible amongst other things for the new 3 inch scale Burrell and 3 inch Clayton steam wagon currently in stock.
Silver soldered superheated copper boiler by Morewood, 90psi working pressure, feed by axle pump and double-acting hand pump - there's a "holster" type thing in the cab to store the pump handle which is a nice touch (you wouldn't believe how many missing pump handles we have to replace). Cylinders are in cast iron with slide valves actuated by Walschaert's gear, pole reverser in the cab. Mechanical lubricator on nearside running board.
Paint is getting tired but the engine runs very well - there's a clip of it running in the workshop this morning here.
