Unsteamed from new, the boiler has had a recent hydraulic test with certification issued.
Paintwork and lining has been applied to a good standard.
The engine runs on air in desultory fashion, with leakage past the piston valves typical of an unmodified kit engine; the reverser gearbox is stiff to operate.
Cylinder and piston valve issues have been well-documented, with much information available on how to modify - we've had several kit-build Britannias and 9Fs over the years which have been made to work well.
