A complete kit-built "Britannia" for restoration - last outing ended in prang which resulted in light damage to some of the platework at the front and a loose motion bracket. We've checked it over in the workshop here, frames are straight and it pushes along easily, boiler has had a twice pressure hydraulic test and is in good condition.

Silver-soldered copper boiler with superheaters, 90psi working pressure. Feed by twin injectors and axle pump with auxiliary hand pump in the tender. Cast iron cylinders with piston valves actuated by Walschaert's gear with screw reverser in the cab.

I've been running another kit Britannia of similar vintage this week, currently listed on the locomotives page - which gives a good idea of how this one would clean up.
