5 inch gauge "Butch" for restoration - stock code 3391

A venerable specimen of a "Butch" tank engine, one of the plethora of designs largely swept away by Martin Evans' "Simplex" when it came out - a pity really, as there were several good looking engines including "Butch" (and it's smaller cousin "Ajax") that are rarely modelled these days.

This one came from the son of the builder, he remembers running around the garden on it in years gone by. It's been part disassembled but is largely complete - what isn't bolted on is in a box of bits with it. The chassis runs well on air, the boiler looks ok - I did a cursory hydraulic test which didn't show up anything nasty, however it's fair to say that the regulator leaks like a sieve so keeping a pressure much over 100psi was at the limit of even our big pump.

Includes a builder's stand allowing the engine to be rotated and a rolling road for test running.
