It came to us as part of a larger collection of good engines, including the 3 1/2 inch gauge "Evening Star", 5 inch gauge Class 37 and 5 inch gauge Royal Scot "Sherwood Forester", as advancing years meant a move into N-gauge for their retired company director owner.
The chassis is fitted with three motors, one per wheelset driving through gears, with a Solo controller by PG Drives Technology, complete with remote handset. It runs well, with programmed acceleration/deceleration in the controller giving a "soft start" - there's some video of it here.
