A well-detailed 5 inch gauge Class 52 Western,
scratch-built in steel throughout with a robustly-constructed chassis underneath
an all-metal body.
Motive power is provided by a single cylinder engine with
geared drive, there is a fuel tank built into the bottom of the chassis with a
fuel pump lifting petrol to the carburettor.
Paintwork is scratched in places and generally tired – a repaint over this winter would turn out an attractive, large locomotive for the beginning of next season. There is much nice detailing in both the bogies and bodywork, build is to a high standard with well-executed louvres and nicely-formed panels.
Complete with a basic driving truck.
