This one came to us as part of a much larger collection which we bought earlier in the year, including many fine engines including a magnificent 7 1/4 inch gauge Standard Class 2, Manning Wardle 2-6-2T "Yeo" and 4 inch scale Burrell DCC road locomotive that we've sold recently.
The engine runs well on air in either direction, with clear beats and little discernible wear in the valve gear and motionwork. Regulator is seized - although would likely free up under steam - and hand brake screw is missing.
On hydraulic test the boiler appeared structurally sound at twice working pressure, although with a persistent drip from the back right hand corner of the foundation ring. Easy of access to repair, but the boiler will need to be lifted to do that.
