An exceptionally well-built 5 inch gauge GWR 14XX 0-4-2T, the first time we've ever seen a kit-built 14XX where you need to look carefully to see its origins.
In fairness the engine, something of a legend in the late owner's club, benefitted from a huge amount of work from its multi award (including the Crebbin Cup) winning builder.
As with all of his models the engine has been fastidiously maintained, it's in excellent condition throughout.
Its performance is the equal of the best scratch-built examples we've had in over the years; it steams and runs exceptionally well - there's some video of it here. A most impressive piece of kit.
