Recently arrived with us as part of a large collection of locomotives and traction engines, the engine took pride of place in the previous owner's dining room.
Workmanship is to a high standard throughout, fit and finish of motion work and valve gear is excellent, platework is well-formed and neatly riveted.
The silver soldered copper boiler was commercially built by Swindon Boilers - a beautifully made thing, it's had a twice working pressure hydraulic test in recent days with new certification issued.
The engine runs on air in both directions, there are various jobs which will require attention if recommissioning for steam including refacing whistle and steam brake valves, and replacing the mechanical lubricator ratchet spring.
