GWR 51xx large Prairie built by Trevor Shortland to his own design based on works drawings and scaled at 1 1/16" to the foot - the drawings and castings are still available from Reeves. From the same collection as the King currently in stock, it has a current boiler certificate, done when it first came in. I have driven the engine, it goes well, although requiring fairly small fingers! It does need minor jobs doing - a "light winter overhaul" would have it raring to go next Spring.
Silver solder copper boiler with superheaters, feed by twin injectors with auxiliary hand pump in side tank. Piston valve cylinders with Stephenson's valve gear, pole reverser in cab. Sight feed lubricator.
