A 5 inch gauge Liverpool & Manchester "Lion" (or "Titfield Thunderbolt" if you're of my generation), built to the LBSC design although with slip eccentric rather than the fragile gab gear - he described both in his "words & music".
Silver soldered copper boiler, 80psi working pressure, feed by axle pump with auxiliary hand pump in the tender. Twin spring type safety valves, masquerading as Salters. Gunmetal cylinders with slide valves, mechanical lubricator.
Boiler is sound, the chassis runs somewhat asthmatically - we suspect the pistons need repacking.
