Standard of workmanship is excellent throughout, fit and finish of motionwork and valve gear of a high order. Both mechanically and cosmetically it remains in "ex works" condition.
The silver solder combustion chamber boiler has a four element flue tube superheater, it's had a recent twice working pressure hydraulic test. The engine runs beautifully on air, down to a very slow tickover, with six well-defined exhaust beats per revolution - there's some video of it outside the works on the rolling road here.
