A well-advanced project, work to date comprises chassis complete with motionwork and valve gear; commercially built CE-marked copper boiler; much of the platework including cab, splashers and running boards; smokebox assembly and a complete, painted tender.
Chassis is tight to turn over - it will require stripping to investigate before attempting to run on air.
62691 "Laird of Blamawhapple" entered service in 1924 and was withdrawn in 1961. One member of the class, "Butler Henderson", survives in preservation a part of the national collection, currently located at Barrowhill Roundhouse.
